What Bubbles is
Bubbles is a bubble shooter: a wall of coloured bubbles hangs from the top of the screen, and you fire bubbles up at it from a launcher at the bottom. When the bubble you shoot touches two or more of the same colour, the whole group pops. Any bubbles left hanging from nothing fall and score double. It takes a second to learn and a good eye for angles to master.
Playing Bubbles on AllFun
AllFun Bubbles has 40 levels and an Endless mode. Each level gives you a set number of bubbles and a goal: clear the board, or free the stars trapped among the bubbles. Levels bring in more colours as you go, from three up to six, along with bombs, rainbows and stones. Finish with bubbles to spare to earn up to three stars. In Endless there is no shot limit: new rows keep arriving from the top, a little faster as the game goes on, and you play for your best score.
Touch the screen and drag to aim; a dotted line shows the path, bounces included. Let go to shoot. On a computer, the mouse does the same. Tap the launcher to swap the current bubble with the next one. Two helpers are there when you need them: the Bomb blasts everything around the spot where it lands, and the Rainbow matches any colour. You get two of each free every day.
A game costs 40 play coins, and winning a level carries you on to the next one within the same game. Your progress and stars are saved on your device.
How a level works
- A shot bubble travels in a straight line and bounces off the side walls. It sticks where it first touches another bubble or the top.
- Three or more touching bubbles of one colour pop together.
- Bubbles that are no longer connected to the top, through other bubbles, fall off the board.
- Stones never pop. The only way to remove them is to knock loose what they hang from.
- A star is freed when it falls. On a star level, freeing every star wins, even with bubbles left on the board.
- Several shots in a row that pop nothing bring the ceiling down one row.
- If the bubbles reach the dashed line at the bottom, or you run out of bubbles before reaching the goal, the level is lost.
Scoring
Each popped bubble scores 10 and each dropped bubble 20. A freed star is worth 250. Win a level and every bubble you have left adds 50. In Endless, clearing the whole board is worth a 1,000-point bonus.
Six tips for three stars
- Aim for the anchors. Popping a few bubbles high up can drop a huge cluster below them, and dropped bubbles score double.
- Use the walls. When the direct path is blocked, a bank shot off a side wall reaches pockets you could never hit straight.
- Check the next bubble. If the current colour has no good spot, swap it and keep it for later instead of wasting a shot.
- Do not let colours pile up. A colour with no matches left on the board is dead weight. Place it where it does the least harm.
- Count your misses. Shots that pop nothing bring the ceiling down. When it is close, make a safe match first.
- Save helpers for the hard part. A Rainbow can clear the colour you are stuck on, and a Bomb is best near the bubbles that hold up a big cluster.
Bubbles FAQ
How do I get three stars?
Win the level with bubbles to spare. The end card tells you how many bubbles you needed left for the next star.
What is the difference between levels and Endless?
Levels have a goal and a limited number of bubbles. Endless has no limit: rows keep coming, and you play for the highest score you can reach.
How much does a game cost?
40 play coins, and guests get two free games a day across the site. Coins are free to earn and have no cash value; see how coins work.
Can I play offline?
You need a connection to open the game. Once it is open, a game in progress carries on if the connection drops.
