What a battle royale is

A battle royale drops a crowd of players onto one big map with nothing in their hands. Everyone searches for weapons and gear, and a closing zone, often called the storm, slowly squeezes the play area so that players are pushed together. You are out when you lose a fight, and the last player still in wins.

That makes a match a game of choices more than of aim alone. Where you land decides how fast you find gear and how soon you meet rivals. The storm decides where the final fights happen. Players who think about position and timing usually last longer than players who simply chase every fight.

Playing Beamfall on AllFun

AllFun Beamfall is a battle royale arcade game seen from above, on a floating island in space. Thirty troopers ride the drop ship: you and 29 computer-controlled rivals. Tap a spot on the map to land, or take a quick drop. A trooper whose health hits zero is tagged out and beamed away from the island in a flash; nobody is hurt.

On a phone or tablet, the left thumb steers and the right thumb aims, and pushing the right stick to its edge fires on its own. With a keyboard and mouse you walk with W A S D, aim with the pointer and click to shoot; R reloads, Shift dashes, F uses a Med-gel and C a Shield cell. Your first Play is a free match on the Training ground. Our other action games are on the arcade games page.

The rules

  • Health and shield: every trooper has 100 health. Shields sit on top and soak up hits first.
  • Blasters: you carry two, from the Spark Pistol and the Hornet SMG to the Longbeam rifle and the Arc Blade for close range. The colour shows the quality: Standard, Tuned, Prime or Radiant. Better ones hit harder, reload faster and hold more shots.
  • Throwables: a Plasma Orb hits everyone near where it bursts, an EMP Disc strips shields, and a Flash Pop blinds whoever is looking.
  • Healing takes time: a Med-gel restores 45 health in 2.4 seconds, a Shield cell adds 25 shield in 1.8. While you heal you move at under half speed and cannot fire, and a hit stops it.
  • The storm closes in six phases, each with a wait and then a shrink. Outside the white circle you lose health every second, from 1.5 a second in the first phase to 14 in the last.
  • Winning: outlast all 29 rivals. Coins and XP are paid after every match, more for a high place and for each trooper you tagged.

Six tips to last longer

  1. Land quiet, then move. The named places, such as Neon Blocks and Core Plaza, draw the most troopers. A farm or a hill gives you a blaster and a shield before your first fight.
  2. Shield before speed. A shield cell in your pocket matters more than a second blaster. Pick up healing whenever you pass it.
  3. Move with the circle, not against it. Head for the next circle while the storm is still waiting. Arriving early lets you choose cover; arriving late means running in the open.
  4. Never heal in the open. Healing slows you down and a single hit cancels it. Dash behind a wall first, then heal.
  5. Let others fight. When two troopers are trading shots, wait. The winner will be hurt, and you can finish the fight on your terms.
  6. Know when the storm is cheap. Early on it drains slowly, so a short trip outside to escape a bad fight is fine. In the last phases it is not.

Battle royale FAQ

Are the other players in Beamfall real people?

Not yet. All 29 rivals are run by the computer, which is why there is never a wait for a match.

How long is a match?

About four minutes from the drop to the last circle closing, often less if you are the last one standing sooner.

Does aim assist help?

A little. It nudges your aim toward a visible trooper, but never through a wall. Settings has the switch.

Is Beamfall violent?

No. The look is bright and cartoon-like, and a tagged trooper simply teleports out. There is no blood.
